A great white shark named Hilton has been lingering off the Grand Strand coast for a few days, according to OCEARCH.

OCEARCH runs Global Shark Tracker, which shares real-time data on a number of sharks in the ocean.

Hilton, a male 12.5 foot shark who weighs over 1,300 pounds, pinged off the coast of Myrtle Beach Thursday morning and has been in the area since March 9.

"What is it about this area that's so appealing to him?" OCEARCH asked on social media, noting that the shark was first tagged on March 3 further south, near Hilton Head Island.
