Grand Strand Humane Society to hire person to handle behavior issues in animals


    The Grand Strand Humane Society is getting a new member on their team.

    He will be an enrichment coordinator and will specialize in behavioral issues in animals, so they can get forever homes quicker.

    The coordinator will focus mostly on larger dogs.

    "It's breads of any size any breed we see have behavioral issues A lot of people stereotypic pit bulls as the breed that need of the most work behavioral but truly that's the smallest petite cage we see that need that extra bit of work," said Jessica Wnuk, with the GSHS.

    Wnuk said the enrichment coordinator won't just be helping dogs - he'll be helping cats, too.
