GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A Georgetown County Sheriff's Office K-9 was a very good boy Friday! K-9 Spike sniffed out not only a large bag of marijuana, but one that was vacuum-sealed!
Deputies say Spike made the discovery following a traffic stop Friday afternoon at Highmarket Street and Garrison Road.
The driver was originally stopped for speeding. Spike alerted Deputy Eric Holtzback to the bag as well as another small container of marijuana, according to GCSO.
Also found in the vehicle was U.S. currency, a scale and packaging products, deputies say.
The suspect was transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center.
