Georgetown chemical plant employee dies after vapor leak, official confirms

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Officials said a 3V Sigma USA employee has died after a vapor leak was reported at the Georgetown chemical plant.

Midway Fire Rescue officials responded to the scene with hazmat personnel on Saturday.

UPDATE: Victim of Georgetown chemical plant vapor leak identified

Officials said they aren’t sure what caused the vapor leak.
