68 year old woman dies in early morning fire in Horry County
HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Horry County firefighters are investigating an early morning mobile home fire Thursday.
One person has been confirmed dead from injuries suffered in the fire, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
The Horry County Coroner's office says the person who died was a 68-year-old woman from the Myrtle Beach area.
They say her name can't be released right now because they haven't been unable to notify her family.
An autopsy is set for Friday morning.
Four people total were injured; of those, one has died and one is seriously injured.
Crews rushed to Enterprise Road around 5:45 a.m.; they say the fire is now out.
Horry County Police, Horry County firefighters, South Carolina state fire officials, and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) officers were on scene.
SLED, HCFR and HCPD are all helping with this investigation.
