FLORENCE, S.C. (WPDE) — A Florence woman has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run that left a 4-year-old dead.
Priscilla Marie Clendenin, 55, is charged with unlawful neglect of a child, according to Corporal Sonny Collins with South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Collins said Clendenin was pushing the child in the stroller and has been charged because she was intoxicated.
The deadly hit-and-run happened last Friday night on Pamplico Highway at Lakeview Drive in Florence.
According to the Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken, Emily Grace Hall, 4, of Florence, was being pushed in a stroller by her grandmother when a vehicle hit the child.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested Monday, April 29 in connection to the incident, according to Collins. Eric Snowden, 39, of Florence was charged with leaving the scene of a crime involving death and is being held at the Florence County Detention Center.
