Flights resumed at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) on Sunday morning as Tropical Storm Florence continued to weaken.

On Thursday and Friday, all flights into and out of MYR had been canceled ahead of then-Hurricane Florence's arrival.

In a Facebook message, MYR said the airport was open and several flights had been scheduled for Sunday.

The Associated Press reported Friday that Florence prompted the cancellation of more than 2,100 domestic flights.

The storm has so far led to the deaths of about a dozen people in the Carolinas.
