Darlington, S.C. (WPDE) — Firefighters battled a fire just after midnight Saturday at a church near Robinson View Road in Hartsville, according to Lt. Robbie Kilgo with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office.
The Bible Baptist Church sustained damage from the fire. The fire was under control in less than an hour, according to a news release.
Kilgo said deputies helped with traffic as crews fought the fire.
The Alligator Fire Department and Hartsville Fire Department assisted.
Darlington County Sheriff's Investigators and Darlington County Fire District are investigating the cause of the fire. The State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is assisting with the investigation, according to Kilgo.
