Conway gas station employees act quickly after fire at pump

A fire at the 501 Mini Mart in Conway was put out Monday night, according to employees.

Employees at the gas station told our photographer on scene that a car ran into a gas tank and drove off just after 8 p.m.

The employees said they quickly turned off the gas line to stop the fire from spreading.

Firefighters responded to reports of a gas tank on fire at that gas station in the 4200 block of west Highway 501.

In a phone call, an employee at the gas station said everyone was safe and the fire was out as of 8:30 p.m.
