DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A 13-year-old boy is detained in a shooting Tuesday afternoon that killed a 15-year-old boy and left another 15-year-old boy in critical condition in the Bunker Hill community of Dillon County, according to Dillon County Sheriff Douglas Pernell.

Pernell said at this time, they're not clear on a motive.

He added the boy is being taken to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) in Columbia.

He's expected to be housed at DJJ until a detention hearing is held for him within 48 hours.
