Darlington police arrest 3 for drug trafficking

Darlington Police Department arrested three people on drug trafficking charges Thursday morning, according to a release.

Officers responded to 102 Faith Lane in Darlington around 3:30 a.m. to report of a domestic disturbance.

When they arrived on scene, officers saw marijuana and cocaine, and then obtained a search warrant, the release states. They also found other amounts of powder cocaine, crack cocaine, methylenedioxymethanmphetamine (M.D.M.A.)”ecstasy”, and cash in the residence.

Reginald Andre Dudley, 25, Nikia Lakenya Smith, 24, and Shanitta Danyel Alford, 24, were arrested and charged with trafficking in powder, crack cocaine, MDMA, marijuana and possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during a violent crime, according to police.

“Drug dealing of any type will not be tolerated within the city of limits of Darlington. We thank the officers involved in this investigation for their dedication to keeping drugs out of the hands of our young people and other citizens in Darlington”, stated Kelvin Washington, Chief of Police for Darlington.

This case is still under investigation by the Darlington Police Department.
