A Darlington County deputy is being treated at the hospital after he was involved in a wreck with an 18 wheeler Thursday morning on Timmonsville Highway in Darlington County, according to Lt. Robby Kilgo with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
It appears the deputy was attempting to turn left onto Dewitt Circle when he was hit by the tractor trailer.
The officer is expected to be okay. No word on the condition of the tractor-trailer driver.
Highway Patrol is investigating.
