Almost two months after a cyberattack impacted the Georgetown County government officials are receiving claims from cybercriminals that they obtained sensitive and personal information, according to officials.

The county immediately contacted SLED which is working to verify whether the claims are factual and is also working with third-party forensic specialists to assess the data potentially at risk, Broach said.
