Crews extinguish dunes fire in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — Crews were able to respond and quickly extinguish a dunes fire Sunday night, according to the Myrtle Beach Fire Department.

Officials said the fire happened behind the Sea Crest Hotel at 8th Avenue South.

The fire was able to be put out before it reached any buildings, officials added.
