TABOR CITY, N.C. (WPDE) — Horry County firefighters battled a four-acre brush fire in the area of Bertie Road near Tabor City Wednesday
Horry County Fire Rescue crews say the first call came in at around 4:45 p.m.
Various engines were brought in to fight the fire, including brush trucks, and a bulldozer provided by the South Carolina Forestry Commission.
SCFC spokesperson Justin Holt says the fire began as a debris burn in someone's yard that spread to a neighbor's property.
Holt says the two neighbors began arguing, and local authorities arrested the person who was originally doing the burning.
No injuries were reported and no homes or structures were threatened.
No citations have been issued in connection with the fire itself, though law enforcement is still investigating.
