Conway man arrested after sexual assault of 4-year-old, 7-year-old
Horry County, S.C. (WPDE) —
A 28-year-old Conway man is charged with criminal sexual conduct after reports of inappropriate contact with two young girls, according to a police report.
James Michael Anderson was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on July 5 after incidents that were reported to police back in February of 2018.
According to a police report, a man told police that Anderson was caught by family members in a room with a 4-year-old girl with her pants and underwear pulled down. That same man told police that the family decided to just keep him away from the girl, the report states.
The man said that he then got a call from another person saying that a 7-year-old girl said Anderson had made her touch his private areas, according to the report.
He told police he then went and confronted Anderson and said he "shook his head yes and kept saying that he was sorry," the report states.
The police report is dated February 8, 2018 and lists the incident date as August 13, 2017.
Anderson was charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, 3rd degree, and released on a $1,500 bond on July 6.
It is not clear which incident he was charged for.
