Local radio station has listeners saying 'Christmas music already!?'
Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WPDE) —
It's only September, but a local radio station is already ready for Christmas.
In fact, it's playing non-stop Christmas music.
Star 92.1 started the holiday marathon Monday.
Social media has been blowing up. Some listeners love it, some hate it.
Usually the station starts playing non-stop Christmas music in November, and Josh Gertzog, General Manager at Alpha Media Myrtle Beach, said it's the most popular thing the station does every year.
Gertzog said this year they decided to start early to give listeners a special treat.
Star 92.1 typically plays holiday music through Christmas Day.
