Cheraw boy with rare heart defect getting once-in-a-lifetime shopping spree
Cheraw, S.C. (WPDE) —
A young boy from Cheraw is having a wish granted on Friday.
Five-year-old Phoenix Bloomfield has a rare congenital heart defect that greatly affects his oxygen levels, according to a news release from the Kids Wish Network.
But, hopefully, on Friday he won't be thinking about that as he gets a once-in-a-lifetime shopping spree at the Walmart in Cheraw.
The staff at the Walmart have some special surprises and activities planned for Phoenix, based around his love for Paw Patrol, the news release stated.
Phoenix loves Marshall from Paw Patrol and everything relating to police officers. He even wants to work in law enforcement when he grows up because they 'catch bad guys.'
