Conway, S.C. (WPDE) — On Wednesday, CCU hosted a discussion about women in national security positions. All month, CCU students have staff have been celebrating Women's History Month, and this was another step along that path.
At Wednesday night's discussion, Katlyn Lloyd with CCU's "Women in National Security" group talked about the opportunities for women in the field.
She talked about the importance of having women in security positions, as well as how the CIA benefits from women in the organization and what the future looks like for women who want to join the CIA.
"I think if a female puts their mind to something, and if she really wants to do this, I think she will find a way to make it happen. A lot of people here in this group that are very devoted are going to do successful things just because they have the determination that they have," said Lloyd, the freshman ambassador for the group.
This is coastal final event in honor of Women's History Month in 2017.
