Arrest made in connection to Hartsville body found

An arrest has been made in connection to the death of 38-year-old Renardo Jamal Davis, who's body was found Monday, according to DCSO.

Davis' body was found in the area of the 1200 block of E. Old Camden Road in Hartsville, deputies say.

Sheriff Tony Chavis said deputies served a search warrant Wednesday around 8:45 p.m. at a home on Mimosa Drive where investigators took the suspect into custody and collected evidence.

Terrele Rashon Bailey, 24, of Hartsville has been charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of a weapon by a convicted violent felon and robbery, according to a release.

Bailey is currently in custody at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center and is expected to appear before a Darlington County Magistrate on Thursday, deputies say.

“Due to the community coming forward with information and the hard work of my investigators we were able to make an arrest,” stated Chavis. “Our investigation continues, and we encourage anyone with any additional information to come forward.”
