Argument over loud music ends with two dead, one hurt in Robeson County

Two neighbors are dead following a shooting Sunday morning that resulted from an argument over loud music at Charlie Drive and Rennert Road in Robeson County, according to Robeson County Sheriff Ken Sealey.

Sealey said gunshots were exchanged between Dakota Hunt, 18, and Scott Chavis, 47.

He added a 21-year-old man also fired shots and was wounded in the shooting.

Scott Chavis died at the scene and Dakota Hunt died while in transport to the hospital by private vehicle.

The other man who fired shots was admitted to Southeastern Regional Medical Center in serious condition.

This case is pending further investigation at this time.
