Two charges of attempted murder against Ryan Knox were dropped Friday, according to Knox's attorney Jonny McCoy.

Knox was charged with four counts of attempted murder after police say he attacked three people with a metal bat near the Market Common in Myrtle Beach in April.

Now, he is only charged with two counts. McCoy says the attempted murder charges were dropped for the child and victim #3.

His mom and his attorney says he suffers from PTSD and needs help. His mother told the judge at his first court appearance that he is a former marine and struggles with a serious case of PTSD.

"The truth is slowly coming out and we look forward to continuing to fight for the truth," McCoy said Friday.

Because of the change in the charges, McCoy said Knox will have another bond hearing next week. If he is granted bond, McCoy said Knox will get the specialized help and treatment he needs for his flashbacks.
