LUMBERTON, N.C. (WPDE) — Two more shooting suspects of a 9-year-old victim were taken into custody at the Lumberton Budget Inn Motel Friday, according to Sheriff Burnis Wilkins.
Nine-year-old Estrella Sosa was shot this past weekend, along with her mother, while riding in a car. She spent five days in the hospital and was initially put on a ventilator, according to her grandmother Regina Maldonado.
Joshua A. Locklear, 24, of Lumberton, and a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested by Robeson County Sheriff’s Office investigators, U.S. Marshals Service Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force and Lumberton Police Dept. Friday, Wilkins confirmed.
A search of the motel room and a vehicle led to the seizure of two firearms and ammunition, Wilkins said.

Joshua Locklear is charged with accessory after the fact, possession of a stolen firearm and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Locklear was placed in the custody of the Robeson County Detention Center with a $100,000 secured bond.
The juvenile is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, felony conspiracy and discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle. This juvenile is the fourth person charged in relation to this investigation.
Earlier this week, Christian K. Locklear, 21, of Pembroke, a 16-year-old juvenile, and a 14-year-old juvenile were arrested. The 14-year-old boy, accompanied by his attorney, surrendered to Robeson County Sheriff’s Office investigators early Thursday morning.
Christian Locklear is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, felony conspiracy and discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.
He was placed in the custody of the Robeson County Detention Center under a $1.5 million secured bond.
