Weekend increase in humidity and chance for rain

A cold front stalled off of the East Coast will drift back toward the Eastern Carolinas over the weekend. This will increase the humidity and chance for showers as the deep moisture moves back on shore. Most areas will remain dry today, especially Inland, but clouds will increase from East to West and a few showers or storms will pop up later today. You can always track the storms on

! Temps will remain in the low to mid 80s this afternoon.

With the front lingering across our area this weekend our chance for a few showers and storms will increase a little throughout the weekend until the front washes out by Sunday. High pressure will build back into the East Coast for next week and our typical Summertime weather pattern sets up. Look for an increase in heat and humidity and the slight chance for a few afternoon storms.
