      Summer heat, humidity, and chance for storms

      High pressure remains in place to our North keep the area hot and humid for the rest of the week. Temps will reach the upper 80s to mid 90s every day with the humidity staying up. The heat index will top out around 100 every day as well. Most locations will be dry, but a few afternoon showers or storms will remain possible through the end of the week.       A cold front is forecast to drop into the Southeast over the weekend and stall out. This will increase the chance for scattered showers and storms for Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will be down a few degrees from the previous days, but the humidity will stay high.
