Storm leaves some damage in Eastern Carolinas

The Florence County Emergency Management Division is sending damage assessment teams to Scranton and Quinby. Scranton had two homes, a strip mall and a billboard damaged in the storm. In Quinby, there were two houses damaged. The Emergency Management Division will see if the property owners will qualify for a loan from the Small Business Administration.

In the Yauhanna area of Georgetown County, a tree fell on a car. One person was hurt.

In Mullins, a power pole and trees went down on Park Street.

In Dillon, an oak tree and pecan trees were uprooted. A railroad crossbuck and gate were bent.

And in Horry County, nickel sized hail was reported in Red Hill near Highway 501.
