Spring warmth returns ahead of weekend cold front

High pressure has settled in for today bringing plenty of sunshine and warmth to the area. Temps will be in the upper 70s to mid 80s. The high will slide off of the coast Friday increasing the heat and humidity a little, but the chance for a few isolated Inland storms will also be on the rise. A cold front will move in Saturday into Sunday. Rain chances will increase Inland Saturday, with a slight chance Saturday along the coast. Sunday's rain chances will be decreasing Inland but remain up along the Grand Strand. Another ridge of high pressure will slide in behind the cold front early next week. Despite plenty of sunshine, temps will struggle to reach the low 70s early next week..

Today: Mostly sunny and warmer. Highs-Grand Strand: Upper 70s, Inland: Mid 80s.

Tonight: Clear and pleasant. Lows:Around 60.

Friday:Mostly cloudy to partly sunny, warmer, with the slight chance for an Inland shower/storm. Highs-Grand Strand:Low 80s, Inland Mid/Upper 80s.
