Some weekend clouds, but still mild

Low pressure off of the North Carolina coast continues to meander around the Outer Banks and will do so through the weekend. It will wrap a decent amount of cloud cover across the area through the weekend, but dry conditions stick around. High temperatures will reach the low to mid 70s with warmer areas South and West seeing more sunshine. Conditions will remain dry for most of the area, but a brief area of mist or drizzle can't be ruled out in North Carolina. You can always track the rain on First Alert Live Doppler 15000 or if you have an iPhone or Android make sure you download or app!.

Next week the low will slowly push away finally and a slow moving cold front will approach by Thursday. Mainly dry conditions will in the forecast with highs in the mid to upper 70s through the middle of next week.

A tropical wave in the Atlantic is showing some potential for development over the next few days, but does not appear to pose an immediate threat to the US. Get the latest tropical updates during hurricane season at our Hurricane Central page.
