New Year starting off mild, few showers

Mainly dry conditions will be along the Grand Strand today with rain chances increasing Inland through the afternoon. A plume of moisture will push away from the deep South and into the Southeast late today and overnight. Clouds will break occasionally allowing a few peaks of sunshine along the coast. Rain chances remain into early Wednesday but drying out by late morning and for the afternoon. Another disturbance will move in for Thursday bringing another shot of rain. Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with slight chance for a shower early. Highs-Upper 50s.
