High pressure scorching middle of the country will sink South toward to Gulf of Mexico. This will increase the heat and humidity across the Carolinas. High temps will hit the mid 80s to low 90s through the weekend with heat index values from 95-100°.

A disturbance around South Florida is drifting West toward the Gulf of Mexico and has a small chance for tropical development. A series of tropical waves extend across the Atlantic through Africa.
