Heat and humidity return. Few storms possible

The humidity is certainly higher today than it has been all week. High pressure is moving off of the East Coast increasing the moisture content of our atmosphere. This will increase the humidity along with the chance for a few afternoon and evening showers or storms. Best chances will be Inland. You can always track the storms on First Alert Live Doppler 15000 or if you have an iPhone or Android make sure you download or app! Temps will reach the mid to upper 80s by the Coast with temps maxing in the lower 90s Inland. Factor in the humidity and it will feel like the mid 90s to low 100s all weekend.

An approaching cold front will stall out across the Carolinas next week increasing the chance for a few afternoon storms scattered around the area.

The tropics are quiet but you can all of the details on our Hurricane Central page.
