Few days of Summer heat. Weekend cool down
Tue, 10 Sep 2013 12:20:19 GMT — High pressure will keep the area warm/hot and a bit humid through Thursday as it slowly works off the Southeast coast. Mostly sunny skies will help warm us into the mid 80s along the coast to low 90s Inland.
A strong cold front will move through Friday with a few storms along it, but a big cool down will follow just in time for the weekend. You can always track the rain on First Alert Live Doppler 15000 or if you have an iPhone or Android make sure you download or app! High pressure moving from Canada will push into the Southeast behind the front for the weekend bringing in plenty of sunshine and a big cool down. Highs will struggle to hit 80 with lows even down into the 50s.
Tropical Storm Humberto remains in the Eastern Atlantic near Africa and may become our 1st hurricane of the 2013 Hurricane season Tuesday. Tropical Storm Gabrielle re-formed in the Atlantic, but is headed toward Bermuda. Get the latest tropical updates during hurricane season at our Hurricane Central page.
