Damage claims from Friday's storm more than in all of 2013

Crystal Costa, Co-anchor of WPDE's Good Morning Carolinas, took a picture of the damage done to her car during Friday's storm.

The storm that hit South Carolina over Memorial Day weekend and came through the Myrtle Beach area Friday afternoon produced more damage claims from State Farm customers than in all of 2013.

There were 7,450 claims as of Wednesday afternoon, according to a release from State Farm. In 2013 the state had 5,360 claims.

State Farm currently has mobile claims sites up in Columbia, Union, Rock Hill and Myrtle Beach. State Farm customers should call 1-800-SF-CLAIM and set up an appointment to have their vehicle inspected.
