Behind a strong cold front, temperatures dip to coolest since May 8th
A strong cold front moved through the area today with showers and a few storms. It's off the coast now and cool air is rushing into the area. Temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 40s across the Pee Dee and on the Border Belt tonight with low 50s along the Grand Strand. Daytime highs Tuesday will approach 70 with plentiful sunshine.
As cool northerly wind continues to filter in Tuesday night through Wednesday morning, temperatures will drop even more into the low-mid 40s inland and upper 40s along the coast. This will be our coolest night since May 8th or 164 days.
Rain chances remain zero through the rest of the week and into the weekend. However, temperatures will gradually warm up each day.
