A big warm-up this week
It's getting progressively warmer each day this week.
After a bitter cold week to start off the new year, temperatures are steadily warming on track to reach 70º Friday.
A few impacts with the change of weather include patchy dense fog Thursday and Friday mornings. Allow for a few extra minutes due to reduced visibility on your morning commute.
Peak timing for fog likely between 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. before burning off after sunrise.
Meanwhile, the unseasonably warm weather will only last until Friday. Expect the wind to shift from the north on Saturday and usher in a much cooler air this weekend.
Although a dry weekend, certainly much cooler air just shy of seasonal highs in the upper 40s and low 50s. Mornings next week will drop back into the 20s and 30s, but not nearly as cold as the teens and single-digit temperatures we've already endured.
