John Abraham forces a fumble in the Falcons win over the Raiders.

Atlanta Falcons defensive end John Abraham sacked Oakland quarterback Carson Palmer three times and forced a fumble in a 23-20 win over the Raiders. The former Lamar High and Gamecocks star made a total of five tackles and was credited with two quarterback hits. Abraham has 118 career sacks to lead all active NFL players. Abraham ranks 15th in NFL history in that department.

Former Wilson High star Justin Durant led the Detroit Lions defense with eight solo tackles, including one for a loss, in a 26-23 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ex-Carvers Bay High great Robert Geathers, Jr. made four stops for the Cincinnati Bengals. He had one sack and a quarterback hit in Cincinnati's 34-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Lawrence Timmons had six tackles and one pass defended for the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 26-23 Thursday night loss to the Tennessee Titans.
