      Gamecocks tabbed second in SEC East

      The South Carolina Gamecocks are picked to finish second in the SEC East as SEC Media Days came to a close. The Georgia Bulldogs are the top selection in the east by the 243 voters in the media. Defending national champ Alabama is favored to win the SEC West and to win the conference championship. The Gamecocks finished third behind Alabama and Georgia to win it all in Atlanta in December. The preseason conference teams have defensive end Jadeveon Clowney as a first team selection at defensive end and Bruce Ellington first team in the all-purpose slot. Tight end Rory Anderson was named to the preseason second team and offensive lineman AJ Cann was a third team selection.
