Kyle Busch has won the Royal Purple 200 NASCAR Nationwide race at Darlington Raceway. It is the 48th career NASCAR Nationwide victory for Busch, and the first time he has taken the checkers in a Nationwide race at the "Track Too Tough To Tame." Busch is now one win shy of tying Mark Martin for the most Nationwide wins in history. Denny Hamlin finished second with Elliott Sadler third.
Kyle Busch started on the pole and got a Darlington stripe early in the race after scraping the wall. He later avoided a big wreck, and then moved past Elliott Sadler with 23 laps to go and held on to win the Royal Purple 200. It is his 5th Nationwide win this year. Justin Allgaier finished 4th and remains the Nationwide points leader heading to Dover.
The Southern 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race will be run Saturday night at 7:45 p.m. with Kasey Kahne on the pole.
