Former Wilson High star signs CFL multi-year deal

Darian Durant led Saskatchewan to a Grey Cup victory last season.

Former Wilson High star Darian Durant has signed a new multi-year contract with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League, according to the team.

Durant threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns in Saskatchewan's 45-23 win over Hamilton in the Grey Cup last season.

Durant, 31, threw for 4,154 yards and 31 TD's for the Riders in 2013.

The Florence native has spent his entire eight year CFL career with Saskatchewan. He has thrown for 22,711 yards with 125 TD passes.

Terms of Durant's new deal were not released.
