Marlboro County football duo ink college letters

Reggie Bright and Michael Brigman signed LOI's on Wednesday.

Two Marlboro County football players signed National College Letters of Intent on Thursday afternoon in Bennettsville. Running Back Reggie Bright inked with South Carolina State. Linebacker Michael Brigman signed with College of Faith in Charlotte.

The 5'10" 194 lb. Bright had 147 carries for 1,154 yards and 13 touchdowns his senior season under head coach Dean Boyd. In his most impressive performance, Bright rushed for 231 yards in a 42-40 loss to Conway. Marlboro County finished with an 8-4 season, and made it to the second round of the 2012 Class 3A State Playoffs.

Brigman led Marlboro County's defense with 126 tackles his senior season. He also had four sacks, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
