At least seven players from the Grand Strand and Pee Dee in the state of South Carolina will play big time college football. The headliner is WPDE Zoneman winner Jabo Lee from Dillon High. The star running back has given a verbal commitment to play at East Carolina after completing his senior season of high school football.
The South Carolina Gamecocks scooped up a pair of Dillon offensive linemen. Both D.J. Park and Bryce King have agreed to become part of the Gamecocks 2013 signing day class.
Carolina Forest running back Harold Atkinson has offers from Minnesota, Indiana and N.C. State.
Myrtle Beach High defensive back Chocolate Wilson has offers from Purdue, Missouri, Ole Miss and N.C. State.
Conway quarterback Mykal Moody has been offered by Marshall, Ole Miss, Kentucky and N.C. State.
Lake City linebacker Devaris Brunson received a visit from Ohio State. He has offers from N.C. State and East Carolina.
Wilson offensive lineman Justin Evans has three division one offers including one from Virginia Tech.
The area's top recruit is a rising junior from Latta High. Donnell Stanley has at least nine offers, including Alabama, LSU, Florida, South Carolina and Clemson.
