Four WPDE All-Zoners get NFL Combine invites

2007 WPDE Zoneman winner Bruce Taylor (VTech LB) of Myrtle Beach

Four WPDE All-Zoners have been invited to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis from February 20th through the 26th. The NFL calls it an intense four day job interview as every team's executives and coaches are on hand to put NFL prospects through a number of drills and question and answer sessions.

Virginia Tech linebacker Bruce Taylor (Myrtle Beach), Clemson defensive end Malliciah Goodman (West Florence), Gamecocks center TJ Johnson (Aynor) and Georgia defensive end Kwame Geathers (Carvers Bay) are on the invite list of over 300 top prospects. Taylor won WPDE's Zoneman Trophy in 2007. Johnson is a 2007 WPDE All-Zoner who has the most career starts in Gamecocks football history. Goodman is a two time WPDE All-Zoner who was a Zoneman Finalist in 2008 and has seen his draft stock rise after a 3.5 sack performance against LSU in his final collegiate game. Geathers is a 2008 WPDE All-Zoner who is leaving Georgia after his junior season to join brothers Robert and Clifton in the NFL.
