CCU football looks to bounce back against Gardner-Webb

The Coastal Carolina football team looks to bounce back after its 63-27 rout at the hands of Liberty. The Chanticleers host Gardner-Webb on Saturday night at 7pm at Brooks Stadium. Coastal is riding a seven game win streak against the Runnin' Bulldogs, most recently a come from behind overtime win in Boiling Springs in 2010.

The Chanticleers are fighting through a rash of injuries. Senior safety Marcus Lott will be out at least three weeks after undergoing wrist surgery on Tuesday. Tight end and backup QB Jamie Childers is out with a knee injury and fellow tight end David Duran has missed the past two games with a shoulder injury. Duran's status for Saturday is still up in the air. Head coach David Bennett is hopeful that starting defensive end Jamel Davis and Big South defensive player of the year Andrae Jacobs will both return to action on Saturday.
