Aynor's Windham signs with Wofford

Aynor High's Hunter Windham has signed with Wofford College.

Aynor High football star Hunter Windham has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Wofford College Terriers in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Windham, a three-sport athlete in high school, earned an academic scholarship at Wofford. He will be a perferred walk-on with the football team.

"He's one of the best players ever to play at Aynor," head coach Jody Jenerette said of Windham, who led the Blue Jackets to an 8-4 season, best at the school in two decades.

His senior season at Aynor, Windham scored 14 touchdowns rushing, and ran for 1,288 yards. He also had two TD receptions and threw a pair of scoring passes.

Windham finished second in his senior class academically, with a weighted GPA of 5.075. He made WPDE-TV's All-Zone team twice.
