The 17th ranked UNC-Pembroke Braves beat the Shaw Bears 41-20 in NCAA Division II college football at the Cape Fear Classic in Wilmington, North Carolina on Saturday.
The Braves rolled up 533 yards of total offense. UNCP quarterback Luke Charles lit up the sky, passing for 361 yards and five touchdowns to help the Braves remain unbeaten at 3-0.
UNCP receiver John Rich caught three scoring passes. Teammate Te'vell Williams was the leading receiver with eight grabs for 148 yards and one TD.
L.J. Stroman led the Braves defense with 11 tackles and one interception.
Shaw falls to 2-1 on the season.
