Waccamaw High's baseball brothers

The Waccamaw High baseball team is off to a 3-0 start this season and ranked third in the state among Class AAA teams.

Ace pitcher Jaret Montenery, a senior All-State right-hander, has won both of his starts and has not allowed a single run this season.

His younger brother, junior catcher Luke Montenery, has been moved into the starting role this season.

Both are honor students who have already scored 28 each on the ACT.

On the diamond, Jaret is batting .625, and has 17 strikeouts in just 11.2 innings.

Luke is hitting .385 with a .625 on base percentage.

Jaret has signed to play college baseball at Winthrop.
