Playoff bound Pelicans win again

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans beat the Down East Wood Ducks 4-2 in ten innings on Saturday before a crowd of 2,830 fans at Grainger Stadium in Kinston, North Carolina.

Bryant Flete stroked an RBI single in the 10th inning to score Robert Garcia with the go-ahead run for the Pelicans.

Trent Giambrone added a solo home run for Myrtle Beach.

Pedro Araujo (4-0) picked up the win in relief.

The first half Carolina League Southern Division Champions have won 19 of its last 24 games.

Myrtle Beach (42-27) has the best record in the league with one game remaining before the all-star break.
