Pelicans finish Easter weekend with third straight loss

The Lynchburg Hillcats beat the Myrtle Beach Pelicans 5-4 on Sunday night at Pelicans Ballpark.

Matt Rose hit his team leading third home run of the season to give the Pelicans a 3-1 advantage in the fourth inning.

Lynchburg rallied to tie the game with two runs in the fifth inning.

In the seventh inning, Lynchburg's Willi Castro, hitting just .133, belted a two-run homer to put the Hillcats ahead to stay.

The Hillcats took three out of four in the series.

Both teams have 5-6 records.

Myrtle Beach will begin a three game series against the Buies Creek Astros on Monday, April 17 at 7:05 p.m.
