Pelicans baseball game against Lynchburg postponed, doubleheader on Sunday
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (May 13, 2017) - Saturday's game between the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and the Lynchburg Hillcats has been postponed due to inclement weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, with the first game getting underway at 3:05 p.m.
Fans can exchange tickets from Saturday's game for any remaining regular season Pelicans game this year or in the future.
The Pelicans will hold their Military Veteran Card Set Ceremony in between games on Sunday. The second contest will begin 30 minutes following the conclusion of the opener. After the conclusion of both games, all fans can enjoy a Postgame Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by East Coast Pyrotechnics Fireworks.
Sunday's doubleheader will also include the Pelicans' Mother's Day Celebration. In addition, on a Family Sunday, all fans can have a catch on the field from 2:10-2:35. All fans are welcome to enter the field from the third base side, between sections 115 and 116.
The Pelicans will start RHP Oscar De La Cruz (2-2, 3.68 ERA) in the first game of the doubleheader, with RHP Casey Bloomquist (2-3, 4.78 ERA) getting the nod in the second game. Both games will be seven innings. Television coverage of Sunday's doubleheader will begin at 3 p.m. on WWMB CW21.
