North Carolina sweeps South Carolina girls and boys in Carolinas All-Star Classic

The North Carolina All-Stars defeated the South Carolina All-Stars 134-115 in the boys game at the Carolinas All-Star Classic at Socastee High on Saturday night.

Clemson signee Clyde Trapp from Lower Richland led all scorers with 28 points.

Lavar Batts, who has signed with VCU scored 16 points for North Carolina and was named MVP.

Area star Jason Cudd from Socastee ended up with 5 points, and Jalen Cameron from West Florence scored two points.

In the girls game, the North Carolina All-Stars beat South Carolina 95-67.

Mikayla Boykin from Clinton High scored a game-high 15 points for North Carolina and was picked as the MVP.

Nia Sumpter from Myrtle Beach High scored 14 points and won the South Carolina MVP award.

Bryanna Goodson from Wilson High had six points.
